Worship

Sundays at 9:30 am

Join us on Sunday mornings as we open the Bible to discover God’s truth, lift our voices in music to God, offer our prayers to God, and share of the blessings he has given to us.

Worship at Horizon is an opportunity every week to come together as followers of Jesus.  We come just as we are, and we welcome all who join with us.

Every Sunday, children can join our Sunday School or nursery program.

What to Expect at Horizon Church:

We are here to make your first visit to Horizon a welcoming and enjoyable experience.  Here’s a few easy tips and information:

  1. Where is Horizon Community Church located? Our address is 2121 Dad Clark Drive, Highlands Ranch, CO, 80126.  Basically, we are a block SW of the I-470 and University Blvd intersection.
  2. Where do I park? Fortunately, we have a large parking lot so parking is not an issue.
  3. What time is the worship service? We have one service on Sundays from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m.
  4. What is your service like? We have a Praise Team lead us in worship, singing praise songs and hymns and then we have a focused time of preaching on God’s Word.  An offering is taken during the service.  The first Sunday of the month, we celebrate Communion during our worship service.
  5. What should I expect? From the moment you walk in the door, we want you to feel at home here.  You will see people at Horizon from all walks of life.  Some like to get dressed up for church, others do not.  So do not feel like you need to look a certain way, be a certain age, belong to a certain culture, or come from a certain social background.
  6. Is there Childcare? Nursery is offered during the service for babies through age 5.  Our nursery is located to the right once you enter the building. One of our Greeters can direct you to the Nursery.  Your children will be taken care of by adults who enjoy being with young children.
  7. Is there Sunday School for children? We offer Sunday School for K – 5th grade during the worship service.  The children start in the Worship Center for a time of singing with the congregation and then are dismissed.  Parents are to pick up their children after the service in Room 325. Be sure to check out the Children’s Ministry table in the Lobby and sign in your child before the service.
  8. Is there a time of fellowship after the service? A great way to follow up the sermon and time of worship is to enjoy time with each other.  We offer beverages and cookies in the Lobby, immediately after the service.  You are welcome to join us!
  9. What are your basic beliefs? We believe that the Bible is God’s inspired revelation.  Above all, we believe and teach the gospel message of Jesus, that all people are created by God and loved by God, that God reaches to people with his love, and that by his grace God freely extends forgiveness to those who repent and believe because of the sacrifice of Jesus for our sins.
  10. What if I have questions or want to connect with one of your groups? At the Welcome Center in our Lobby we can provide you with additional information about who we are and what you will find at Horizon.  Whether you are looking for a Bible study or prayer group, ministries for children or adults, Sunday worship events or weekday community activities, let us help you get connected with Horizon.
